Hall County Runoff Election Guide: Everything You Need to Know Before June 16

Early Voting Monday, June 8, through Friday, June 12 for the Hall County Runoff Election

We have a runoff election. Hall County voters will return to the polls on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, to decide several closely contested local races following the May primary election. The runoff will determine nominees in three important Republican primary contests, including two County Commission seats and an At-Large position on the Hall County Board of Education.

Early Voting Information

Voters may cast their ballots during the early voting period from Monday, June 8, through Friday, June 12, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Runoff Election Day Information

Election Day

Tuesday, June 16, 2026
Polls Open: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Voters can verify their Election Day polling location through Georgia's My Voter Page (MVP) system before heading to the polls.

Runoff Election Polling Location Changes

Several polling locations used during previous elections will not be available for the runoff.

Runoff Election Absentee Voting Information

Voters wishing to vote by mail must request an absentee ballot no later than June 5, 2026.

Applications may be submitted online or by paper form.

Completed absentee ballot applications may be returned:

  • By mail to:
    Hall County Elections Office
    P.O. Box 1435
    Gainesville, GA 30503
  • In person at the Hall County Government Center
    2875 Browns Bridge Road
    Gainesville, GA 30504
  • Via the official absentee ballot drop box located on the lower level of the Hall County Government Center during early voting hours

Important Deadline

All voted absentee ballots must be received by the Hall County Elections Office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, June 16, in order to be counted. Postmarks do not extend the deadline.

Kathy L. Cooper (Incumbent)
Farmer and business owner serving on the Hall County Board of Commissioners since first being elected in 2014.

Mark Turner
Owner of Select Pest Control and local businessman.

Hall County Commission District 3

Republican Runoff

Tyler Crawford
Hall County business owner making his first run for elected office.

Shannon Davidson
Gainesville business owner and current member of the Hall County Planning Commission.

Make a Plan to Vote

Whether voting early, absentee, or on Election Day, Hall County residents are encouraged to verify their registration status, confirm their polling location, and review their sample ballot before casting their vote.

Local elections often have lower turnout than statewide or presidential contests, meaning every vote can have a significant impact on the future direction of Hall County government, education, infrastructure, and public services.
