Purpose of Hearing: (A) Rezone from Planned Industrial Development (PID) to Light Industrial (I-1) on a 119± acre; and (B) Special Use as a Data Center

Details: Chairman Chris Braswell recused himself from the hearing, as he was the broker of the property. The remaining board members tabled the application until September 15, 2025. Mr. Stan Hunt was absent.

Result: The public hearing was held, but the board voted 2 - 1. then 3 - 0 to table the decision until October 6, 2025. Mr. Braswell recused himself, Mr. Sosebee was absent, and Mr. Hunt changed his vote on tabling this item. Six citizens spoke against the approval of the proposed data center.
